Mystic Mountains Second Place at Rocklin Art Show

Chris currently lives in Folsom, in Northern California. 

Chris has always enjoyed and studied art, drawing and painting. Even as a child, she did charcoal drawings for friends, family, and others. 

 

For the past 20 years, Chris has focused on oil painting, mostly with palette knife.

 

Her goal in painting is to help people, so this year 100% of all proceeds will be donated to Folsom's Hope and to local food banks.

 

She is an active member of the Folsom Arts Association and El Dorado Hills Art Association, where she is the Vice President.

 

Her painting, “Mystic Mountains”, won the “People's Choice Award" at Gallery at 48 Natoma El Dorado Hills Art Association Member Show in January 2025.

 

Her paintings, “Reaching for the Sun”,  and "Birth of a Star" were selected and donated to the PBS/KVIE art auction.

 

While Chris mostly does commissions to order, her paintings have been selected for juried shows in the Sacramento/Folsom area. 

 

Chris enjoys oil painting in a variety of styles, primarily impressionist and abstract. Her paintings reflect love, color, spirit, peace and energy. She finds inspiration from the beauty of nature, sunsets, the sea, and space.
